Your vehicle has been protected with a professional-grade ceramic coating. To ensure it lasts its full lifespan and continues to protect your paint, it’s very important to wash and maintain it properly. Below are our recommended care guidelines.
Washing Guidelines
- Frequency
- Wash your vehicle every 1–2 weeks to prevent dirt, road salt, and contaminants from bonding to the coating.
- Avoid automatic car washes, especially ones with brushes or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the coating.
- Ideal Conditions
- Avoid washing in direct sunlight. Always wash in a shaded, cool area to prevent water spots and streaking.
- Wash when the vehicle surface is cool to the touch.
- Pre-Wash: Foam Down the Vehicle
- Use the Foam–Rinse–Foam method:
- Foam – Apply a generous layer of pH-neutral snow foam over the entire vehicle and allow it to dwell for a few minutes (do not let it dry).
- Rinse – Thoroughly rinse off the foam to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Foam Again – Apply a second layer of foam to act as lubrication for your hand wash.
This process minimizes the risk of scratches and swirl marks during contact washing.
- Hand Wash (Two-Bucket Method)
- Use the two-bucket method: one bucket with your pH-neutral shampoo solution and one with clean rinse water.
- Wash from top to bottom – upper panels first, working your way down to the dirtier lower panels.
- Wash in straight lines (left to right) instead of circular motions to reduce swirl marks.
- Use a soft microfiber wash mitt, rinsing it frequently in the rinse bucket before reloading with soap.
- Rinsing
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water, ensuring no shampoo or foam residue is left behind.
- Drying
- Dry using a microfiber drying towel or a car dryer/blower to prevent water spots.
- If using towels, gently lay the towel flat on the surface and drag or blot — avoid rubbing in circles.
- Quick Maintenance
- For fingerprints, light dust, or bird droppings, use a ceramic-safe Quick Detailer and a soft microfiber towel.
- Spray lightly and wipe gently in straight lines.
- Annual Inspection & Maintenance
To keep your coating in peak condition, schedule an annual inspection with us. During this visit, we will:
- Inspect your coating for proper performance and durability.
- Perform Decontamination: Using an iron remover and a clay bar to safely remove embedded contaminants.
- Refresh hydrophobic properties if needed.
👉 This process is essential to maintain your warranty and extend the lifespan of your ceramic coating
Extra Maintenance Tips
- Avoid parking under trees or in areas where sap, bird droppings, or industrial fallout are common.
- Remove contaminants (bird droppings, sap, bug splatter) immediately with a detail spray and a clean microfiber towel.
- Schedule an annual maintenance detail to keep the coating performing at its best.
